Capturing the mechanical brilliance of the tourbillion movement, the Histoire de Tourbillion 3 is Harry Winston’s latest challenge to what has troubled mankind for centuries – the laws of physics. In terms of engineering, it is second to none. Each of the three tourbillions in the Histoire de Tourbillion 3 are seen rotating at different speeds to guide time through gravity unscathed, averaging out positional errors that many of its counterparts fail to fend off. In terms of aesthetics, the watchcase shows a bold masculinity and is constructed with 77 parts in white gold and non-reflecting sapphire crystals with lugs in zalium, a hard but featherweight alloy. This masterpiece is looking certain to shine at Basel 2012.
