The friendship between Boucheron and India can be dated back to 1909, when Louis Boucheron first travelled to the vibrant and exotic country when the Maharadjah de Patiala commissioned Boucheron to create a panoply of jewellery in 1928. Today, Boucheron continues to use India as an inspiration, and in its latest piece, it has unveiled the Crazy Hathi timepiece. This exquisite timepiece features the mystical animal of India – the elephant. Adorned with grey gold, pink gold, green trasvorites, and blue, yellow and orange sapphires, the animal comes to life as its trunk theatrically curves up into the air to symbolising good luck.
